This page provides brief product information about some of the GSM
devices we recommend to use for SMS messaging with Ozeki software products.
You are also provided with links to respective pages containing detailed information
about each product.
Ozeki SMS messaging software products enable you to
use your computer to send and receive SMS messages to and from mobile devices.
SMS messaging can be done in two ways: directly connecting to the SMS Center of a GSM
service provider over the Internet or connecting to it using a GSM device
attached to the PC with a phone-to-PC data cable.
To connect to the SMS center over the GSM network for SMS
messaging using Ozeki software products,
you need a suitable GSM device (modem or phone). A wide range of
GSM devices is suitable for SMS messaging with Ozeki software products. Many of
them are listed on the Supported
phones and GSM devices page.
If performance, reliability and continuous operation are important, you should
use an industrial GSM modem for SMS messaging. The brief descriptions below provide information about
some of the most reliable GSM devices we have tested. To open the page containing
detailed information, click the name or the picture of the product. You can buy the Wavecom Fastrack
M1306B and the Meastro 100 modems from us by mail order transfered the price
to our bank account in advance.
Wavecom manufactures fast and reliable modems. One of the devices we
have tested and highly recommend is the
Wavecom Fastrack M1306B GSM modem.
It offers state-of-the art GSM/GPRS connectivity for machine to
machine applications.
Another very reliable device we recommend is the
Fargo Maestro 20.
It is a ready-to-use, simple-to-integrate GSM modem for voice, data, fax and SMS services.
The characteristics of
Maestro 100 are largely identical
with those of Maestro 20. A major difference is the maximum
baud rate setting (115200 bps), which allows faster MMS
messaging than Maestro 20.

We also recommend the Siemens MC35 modem, which has proved very reliable for SMS messaging.
The MC35 allows a PC or other device to control a GSM phone via standard and extended AT commands.
The wide range of applications include vehicle tracking and remote data logging.
