Keep the system healthy by deleting old messages

The Ozeki Message server software works with message queues. The software provides better performance if the number of messages in the queues are smaller. It is advised to keep the number of message in a queue bellow 5 000. To reach this we suggest turning on the automatic message deletion feature. This can be done, by opening the Server Preferences for in the Edit menu. On the Server preferences form, you can select a time period, such as 1 hour, to tell the server, that messages older then this period should be deleted. Note, that if you have plugins, such as the database plugin installed, the messages will not be deleted from the database. They will only be deleted from the internal queues of the Ozeki Message Server Applications.
